A SALTty Thanksgiving

Once again, the time of Turkey Trots and tryptophan naps as arrived. Thanksgiving: a time for overeating AND oversleeping. Could it get any better?

Before students took off for Thanksgiving break, we asked them a series of questions about Thanksgiving and what they're most thankful for. Here's what they had to say:

Most members of SALT are thankful for friends, family, and the opportunity to attend a college with a strong support system.

Sidney, a member of the SALT marketing team is most thankful for, "friends and family and DS chicken nugs." Solid choice, Sid.

Carly, another member of the marketing team, is thankful for her new puppy, Bentley. (Don't worry, pictures have been requested)

When asked what food they wanted most at their Thanksgiving tables, everyone had great choices. Lauren from marketing insisted on the cheesiest Mac and cheese, Grace with alumni awareness is passionate about bread - in all forms. Gunnar requests, "Endless gravy."

What he would DO with endless gravy, we're not sure.

When asked who they would invite to Thanksgiving dinner (practicality aside) the responses varied drastically.

Our president, Reilly Mach, would invite Patrick Dempsey because, "We could talk Grey’s Anatomy and beyond. Plus I just love him so it would be sweet to have him at my table!"

We're with you, Reilly. McDreamy is a fine choice, especially if you need the Heimlich after too much turkey!

Sydney from student development would invite Freddy Mercury

for a Thanksgiving Day performance. Who needs the Macey's Thanksgiving Day Parade when you've got a superstar sitting at your living room table?

No matter what food you'd want to gorge on, no matter what celebrity you'd love to pass the mashed potatoes to this Thursday, we at SALT wish you a very happy Thanksgiving.

We are so grateful for all of YOU and the awesome events that we are able to put on each year!

We'll see you all next week as we tie some blankets for local kids at Project Linus!
